It's a single player rpg game and it is not an online game even though some people are trying to make it online while failing badly at it and awaiting lawsuits i guess. It does work with patches and the only way to obtain patches is by buying the actual game, connect to steam and updating it. It's a some-what follow-up from The elder scrolls : Oblivion . So no it's not online and yes it does work with patches to fix all sorts of bugs.

Super boring game in my opinion :/
Play more than the prologue and it might change ur mind.
I player Skyrim for about 1 week... until I took and arrow to the knee.
Seriously now get a torr3nt first and if u like it buy it. I can't fix the "game freezez every 5 seconds" bug ppl seem to be having and I'm glad I didnt buy the game.

Only the ones not buying the gaming using the "Cracked" one has the freeze problem. I have been playing the game the day it came out and still haven't experienced any freeze or kick from the game. Buy it rather than having a buggy cracked one.
If ur highness would read more u would see that a lot of players have this problem, those that bought the game are complaining on forums, the rest of us using cracked versions just lay in wait of a fix.

It's your Graphics card then.
When a game freezes, then it is 90% the Graphics card. Sometimes a malfunction issue when the card was made in the factory other times it's just not powerful enough and the other known one is the actual make of the card. Some companies always try to beat the other one in the technology industry even though they don't have the proper resources for it. So it's always best to research the make and model of your card to see if there is any previous issues related to the card.
I'm running on
-4GB RAM DDR3
-GTX 560 Asus
-IntelCore i5 750 Processor (8M Cache 2.66 GHz)

the proccesor and the GFX card we have differ by much. Im sure u dont have any problems and I'm also running on 1920*1080, it's my monitor's native res. I have researched abour my card before I bought it and no bad things showed up about any major manufacturers. But a lot of ppl are having trouble with Skyrim running on 400 series with the xception beeing the 480.

Well I got the game early on, had only 1 minor problem with it befere patch (kept changing to low video on restart
). The game is awsome if you like soloplay, I think wthat is annoying is that you just get unbeatable once you gear up yourself and your companion. (unlike Oblivion where you had a chalenge till the bitter end)

Pirated, played for hours, full content, random crashes VERY rarely and a few bugs that also occur in legal version most of which can be fixed easily. Currently got a DKish, a pallyish, and a Zerathul/Tassadarish guy. Srsly u have no concept of time when u play this, it just kinda **** u in. I especially love the great freedom it offers in character building, quests progression, and interaction with other NPCs. I would say most dungeon setting/mobs are rather repetive, there're some wonderful views in the game but are pretty rare, majority of the zones are getto villages, caves, and ancient crypts. Combat system can be improved since melee is too bland while spells/bows are kinda hard to aim w/o going into 1st person view. Lastly, once you get high level smithing for Daedric/Dragon Armor, plus maxing enchanting for Extra Effects, you become unbeatable, I had hightest difficulty on, charged into Blue Palace with all the pwnt Jarl + their buddies, I can literally stand there and get hit w/o dying for 20-30 sec, with 1 swing of my 2h sword to kill all of them within aoe + regen to from near death to near full health. Not to mention 100% spell cost reduction, reminds me of thereisnospoon cheat in WC3. Overall a fun and very time consumming game. I'd rate 8/10
note: With mods the game is almost limitless!
